You know that feeling when you're learning something new, and everyone makes it sound so easy, but you're sitting there thinking, “Am I missing something here?”

That was me with email marketing.

I've spent years helping others build their email lists (even helped two clients grow to 10,000+ subscribers), but when it came to building my own?

I was stuck at ZERO.

Funny how life works, right?

Here's my story:

I'm a computer engineer who minored in AI and Machine Learning.

I've always been that person who loves figuring out how things work.

When my dad got scammed by a web developer, I taught myself how to code and built his website myself.

That kicked off years of learning everything I could about digital marketing:

• Built websites for 10+ clients
• Managed email marketing campaigns that generated $25k+ in revenue
• Dove deep into SEO, UI/UX design, and pretty much every marketing tool out there

But here's the thing - I realized I was helping everyone else build their audience while neglecting my own.

In late 2024, my dad had a health scare that turned my life around.

He has always been my role model and the person I look up to the most.

The thought of losing him made me worry for my family. How would I provide for them?

I felt scared and honestly, very powerless. I have siblings who are still studying. And my mum is a retired teacher.

So I made a decision: I'm starting from scratch and building my own email list.

I'm taking every lesson I've learnt while helping my dad with his business and personal brand.

And I'm documenting every step.

Why? Because I believe in:

• Using AI as a tool, not a crutch
• Learning by doing (and sharing the messy middle)
• Building something real, not just chasing numbers
• Providing value and actually being helpful to people
• Building meaningful, sincere relationships with your audience

I'm not here to be another “guru” promising overnight success.

I'm just someone who loves combining AI with marketing, and I want to share what I learn along the way.

• Playing chess (I see fascinating parallels between chess engines and AI)
• Taking care of my 10+ cats
• Tending to my plants by the river near my house in Malaysia
